I HAVE WRITTEN A NUMBER OF ARTICLES ON EMDR THERAPY, AS WELL AS CO-AUTHORING A BOOK FOR ROUTLEDGE NY THAT WAS PUBLISHED IN APRIL 2025. THIS IS THE FIST BOOK ON PSYCHEDELIC ASSISTED EMDR (PSYA-EMDR). MY MOST RECENT ARTICLE HAS BEEN ON THE ADAPTION OF EMDR TO TREAT ADVERSE REACTIONS TO PSYCHEDELICS (PSYCHOSIS, HPPD AND CPTSD).
Over the last 7 years I have been using EMDR to treat adverse reactions to psychoactive drugs ((c)PTSD/HPPD/psychosis etc). I've written an article exploring some of the ways that the 8 phases of EMDR can be adapted to treat this client group for the fall 2025 issue of EMDR International Association magazine on Psychedelic Assisted Therapy.

In April 2023 we presented our research at Breaking Convention in Exeter. With only a half hour slot, we decided to use footage from our collaboration with Scott Hill, author of Confrontation with the Unconscious: Jungian Depth Psychology and Psychedelic Experience (Muswell Hill Press), to demonstrate the use of the somatic bridge to identify subconscious material that has been activated by psychedelic therapy. We also show the three-pronged approach of EMDR in action to integrate psychedelic material. Enjoy!
